Aftermarket Steering column

Has anyone used this one from Jeg's?
Is there anything that would prevent this from being a bolt-in installation in a 65? I realize I would need linkage. 350/700r4 combo.

It looks identical to the one I got from a different vendor and installed in my ‘66. It was pretty straightforward to install using the factory brackets and hardware but as already stated, there are no mounting holes which I wasn’t aware of when I bought it. It worked out just fine tho as it allowed me to position the column where I wanted it, and then just marked, drilled, and tapped the holes. My combo is a 1966 C20 with a 454 and a TH400.

Where you able to adapt a stock wheel to the tilt column or did you go a different direction?

Yeah the column comes with a coupler attached to it for an aftermarket wheel but removing the center nut allows you to remove that coupler and then you can use the stock steering wheel with that same center nut. Which is the exact route I took. The splines line up with no issue.

Side note: what part of lower Alabama are you in?

Thanks for the information! My wheel is dang near on my legs, I would love to upgrade to tilt.

I'm just north of Mobile, Al.

How is the quality on these columns? I’ve read some poor reviews on overseas columns. I would like to think Jegs has a little higher standards.

This is why I asked.

I also should have mentioned that my truck was converted to power steering with an 80"s gear and pump and has the DD shaft.

Measuring a steering column doesn't seem to be done the same way by everyone. You could find a couple inches difference depending on who measures it. So here are three places that show how to measure a steering column, all three are the same:

Installing one similar as we speak.........Lets just say the labor to modify this column offsets the additional cost of buying the Ididit Retrofit column !!!! NO NSS or Rev light provisions, no mounting provisions and the 1" Female DD output is a joke !!!!!

My only issue with the aftermarket columns are the horn contacts are so long, made for using the 9 bolt billet steering wheel adapter. I want to use a 57 type wheel and I only found Ididit makes that possible out of the box. Now if I 'knew' the correct part that would swap that out I'd save a bunch.

People 'sometimes' measure differently. Here is an example of standard steering colum measuring total length from end of the shaft (box end) to wheel mount, not to include the steering wheel mounting spline shaft:
