Another steering column question
Hoping not to get bashed on a subject that has been talked about since the Stone Age, I am putting a column out of a 67-69 c10 in my 63gmc. Removing three on the tree and putting in straight floor shift column. I have been looking through the forums and found a ton of info but nothing about using the original steering wheel on the later column. What is required to use the original wheel and maintain turn signal functionality and horn. I assume these turn signals automatically turned off when the steering wheel is turned back to straight? Mine has been broken since I have had it so I do not know… one picture is my 63 column on the bench

Re: Another steering column question
I put a '64 wheel on a 67-72 column without any modification or adapters. The main differences were under the hood in that swap

Re: Another steering column question
I spent a lot of time today and finally figured it out, I also ordered new parts after I got it working with the original parts. Only thing was I had to order the red insulator three hole plastic piece instead of the white, I think it’s only a little bit taller so may have to sand the three bushing posts down a hair…
