Yeah, Ive read other members having problems with heater cores. What company manfactured yours? I flushed out cooling system in my 71 and 2 days later, you guessed it... the heater core let loose.

MY BAD!! I guess I could have been more clear, I taped cardboard over the kickpanel opening to make a better air seal, and ran a piece of f**dtape (wire) down through that same opening to stir up the loose debris while the vac was running and air was blowing from the topside. And after that, I attached weather-proof screen to the under-side of the cowl to keep all that crap from ever getting down there again. Most of the s**t that came out of there was leaves, twigs, bugs, etc. None of it can get in there now though, and that is a GOOD thing!

MI is not much better. With the amount of salt MDOT lays down after a dusting of snow, I wonder if MDOT owns stock in the salt companies.
