Thumbs up pics for huge bummer thread (longhorn progress pics)

Figured I'd start a new thread...dunno why...just did.
The alt. after a little paint. My dad asked if it was new when he saw it sitting on the step...I said It is now.

You can see the new master cylinder and replaced booster, along with the drivers side firewall painted.
Used the $3.99 (wall mart) Testors model spray paint. ANYONE KNOW A BETTER PRICE???

This is the before pic....anyone know how to get ALL those leaves ans branches out? I reached in as far as I could...but there is still more in there.

A little cleaning and more testors paint.
The heater box is in the basement with fresh paint, and a new heater core. It'll go back in AFTER the caddy motor is stuffed in.

Hmmm, that is a main support though....maybe I'll do that, but smaller. Just big enough for the vacume hose.

whoever told you that was not well informed ( you know what I mean )

That cavity is just a sheet metal box for the air vents and its where the water from the windshield grille (cowl) drains.

No structural support at all.

Hey Andy, you may have already done this, but I used an air hose on one end while having a shop-vac attached to the other end through a piece of cardboard taped over the opening (duct tape) to make a better seal, along with an occasional stir from a piece of wire (f**d tape), and it did a pretty good job of cleaning things out. Which by the way, makes us much smarter than the average F**d boy, 'cause they hold a piece of wire and suck each other!

Only problem, I would have to blow through the air hose, and I'm a smoker.
I am pneumaticly impaired here.
(I do have the little compressor deal that plugs into the cigg lighter...nuff for a tire, but no more)

To clean out the cowl vent box all you need to do is take out the actual cowl vent in the kick panel and grab the vacume and clean it out and if you want to see the condition of the inside use a mirror and a flashlight. No need to cut holes there's already one there just on the other side. Take the rod loose and lift up on the vent door til the pivot pin clears and well its pretty obvious when you are looking at it.

I had to go look. It is actually a d@mn good fit, allmost perfect.
I know what you are refering too though...the one I put in the GMC last year wasn't such a good fit. That's probably why it leaks now too huh?
