Where on the door frame would I drill a hole for the domelight switch?
My 67's have no domelight switches, & I'd like to wire up some but I'm not sure where to drill the hole in the door frame near the dash. Where would I drill the hole? Pics would be appreciated. I know some people drill the hole near the back of the cab, but I'm mainly looking for the factory position. Thank you for looking!

there is no factory position on the 67/68, the spot where the switch was placed on 69 and up is a raised position about 3/4 the way up. That mounting pad is missing all together on yours and the switch would not reach the door.

Re: Where on the door frame would I drill a hole for the domelight switch?
Someone has a thread a while back where they replaced one of the door bumpers at the rear of the door with a switch and then put the hollow top of the bumper over the switch so it looks like a bumper with switch in the middle, also on drivers side the wires are right there so might be an easy mod, I have not tried it myself.

I put mine in the top door bumpers. They fit perfect, and there is no drilling involved. The wires are right there Here's a link to the thread

hmmm. i was kinda hoping to put the switches away from the back of the door but I may have to do it that way. Couldnt I put them at the front & shim them up with a few washers or something? thanks for the input so far guys.
