Just bought one, but there aren't enough holes in my trans. to bolt it up, what gives? Didn't have one on it when I bought it, so I bought a pc. that was sheet metal, that one only has 4 holes in it and it fits. The alum. one has 6 holes, do I have the wrong trans. in my Jimmy? thanks for any help. Jim

the aluminum one is for a 700r4

The aluminum one is for a 'K' series case and are used in conjunction with torsion rods that tie into the motor mounts.

Thanks for the info., so are you saying someone switched out my trans. and put a nonstock unit in?

No, not saying that, just a later model aluminum cover.

Does it tie into the tower or a bolt on the motor mount? Thanks I thought they were all the same, my mistake. Thanks for your time Kurt

If it's like my cover is, there are two spots on the bottom of the aluminum cover that will accept the bolts that tie the rods coming from the motor mount itself IIRC.
