There is a sending unit that screws into the side of the tranny where the speedo cable would hook.... then from there you run wires to the speedo... Its really nice for custom dash installs where you couldnt string a cable.. for our trucks your keeping the speedo in the same spot using the gauge cluster with AM gauges..

Quick question. Say you have 5 guages in your dash, 5 power wires, do you run one power wire to one guage then run the other 4 guages off that same power wire??? Or do you have 5 seperate power wires coming from 12 volt to each guage????

Re: aftermarket gauges install ????'s

I ran all gauge power and grounds to one common power wire and 1 common ground wire.. I went a little thicker on the one I attached them all to.. Same with the light bulb wiring..

Re: aftermarket gauges install ????'s

C10ADDICT,
that was the imression that i got too as long as you go with a thicker ga. wire to connect them to. i think that for this truck i will stay with a mech. speedo. though.
