Re: Project OverKill
Looks strangely familiar... That one has 20 more cubes though. Guess I'll have to stroke mine now...

Paint and a few trinkets.... Guys ...Should the pan be ORANGE too??? Opinions wanted!!!! It came powder coated black...but I have got a few comments that it would look better if it was Chevy Orange.

Re: Project OverKill
I'm one for contrast, so I'd leave it black or use your new power coating oven to make it silver/chrome.

Re: Project OverKill
Ooops, missed this post. Guess it's a little late on my posting...
I grew up in Westminster and will be up there this summer if you want to show off your truck/shop and meet another "67-72 boarder" as I would like to check out both. Adam

Re: Project OverKill
Thank you chevy72blu. Powder coated my Edelbrock 2927 BBC manifold today. Single stage chrome and a nice coat of high gloss clear. Set the Holly 1050cfm Dominator up just to see how it looks. It looks like I better pony up and buy some heads, LOL!

Re: Project OverKill
Powder Coated my calipers in NIC PSS-163 powder...a perfect match to Dulpi-Color spray paint DE-1620 Chevy Orange and did the rust prone areas of my new rotors in Mirror Gloss Black. The only splash of orange on the frame will be these calipers. Everything else will be Black or the Silver Train of the frame.

Re: Project OverKill
those came out nice, did you have to gut the calipers first for the oven?

Re: Project OverKill
i think he did that oven is hot enough to vulkanize the seals to the piston and the caliper making a bond you couldn't get loose with a press

Re: Project OverKill
Thank you. Correct. Calipers were completely disassembled, then blasted to "white metal" 60 grit aluminum oxide. I bought a new caliper rebuild kit from Advance Auto...and put all the new rubber/seals back in. Kit also came with new pins.
