Re: Looking for this heavy bumper?

Good Lord that thing looks heavy. I guess that is a way to get that "lowered" look without buying new coils Might make your truck a little light in the front end though

Some day I will tell you my story about the bicycle that caused $500 worth of damage to my wife's Honda Odyssey bumper (they don't make them like they used to).

Re: Looking for this heavy bumper?

Around here, I belive most trucks must have been shipped without rear bumpers. you see very few sport bumpers (original that is) on trucks. I would hazard to guess that 90% of the original or "project" trucks I see in my area have a stamped/welded steel bumper with a dealers name stamped in it.

I found one! Hard to believe it, but I found it 6 miles from my house in a junk yard. Picked it up for $50.00. Around here, these trucks are long gone when it comes to salvage yards.

Below is a picture of where I am now. I'll have to figure out how to start a build tread.

Thanks for the help!!

Re: Looking for this heavy bumper?

This bumper was dealer installed. The cool thing is if you undo the tailgate supports the tailgate drops down and you can back the bed almost flush to a loading dock.
