Re: My '66 build thread
Good Lord man. That's quite a collection. Almost bought a Banshee a few years back but my sis couldn't drive a manual so we bought a Polaris. Still trying to figure that one out. I bet the neighbors love it when ya'll fire those babies up in the garage.

Re: My '66 build thread
It wasn't too bad. You just couldn't go into much water or else you would be sitting there until the heat dried off the trans belt some. What color are you going to go with on the '66?

Re: My '66 build thread
i'm thinking either a really dark charcoal or a little lighter charcoal with two black stripes down it and black tube bumpers, cage and tire carrier.

Re: My '66 build thread
Thanks for all the replies guys! Update time, last week my dad managed to find the last two Flowmaster off-road super 44's in the city and picked up some 3 inch pipe also. He did the fitting, cutting, and welding on the pipes. He also made a pretty dang good looking little bracket for the mufflers. After he got the pipes and mufflers done I coated them with an aluminum paint and some flat black
After playing around with a 45 degree bent pipe we found a nice way to make some tips. so a few hours with a sawzall and grinder i came out with these... Then friday we got the call that said my tank was done with powder coating so we ran and picked it up.. Here is the baffle inside |

Re: My '66 build thread
You MUST demand that the body shop take pics of the extended cab process. I have an idea but I'd love to see it.

Re: My '66 build thread
Hey thanks guys, I got the bed off the 66 finally and have it setting on the 86. I'm debating whether to get new bedsides or work these into shape... but we are going with a new tailgate so if anybody is looking for one..... make an offer. here are a few pics...
