Re: Rims or White Walls?
I say rims and white walls
Love white walls dont care for stock rims or hub caps. Find a set of tires for those rims that can be grooved best of both worlds. hmm I probably shouldn't be giving out my ideas for my truck.

Re: Rims or White Walls?
I like the whitewalls on that one although Zumo's redline idea looks pretty sharp. I have always thought that those oversize wheels and rubber band tires look like something out of a cartoon or one of the Hotwheel cars. I know, I'm an official "old guy" but they just look silly to me.

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Rene... first off what a tough decision, I'm just glad that I'm not the one making it.
On the '72 what kind of a drop are you running on it?

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Nevermind Rene... I did my own search and located the drop on your '72 in my CT magazine. You are a lucky owner...

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Thank you very much, Yes I'm very lucky. You know it's funny, whenever I see your new truck, I do the old double take, making sure you didn"t snatch my 68 .

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Yeah, I wanted to say something about the '68 because it reminds me of my truck every time I see it. When I located my '69 I was questioning the originality of the paint scheme, but after seeing your '68 I felt a little more at ease.

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Oops... I knew I forgot something with that post.
The information below was pulled from the 2nd link in Rene's signature: Rear suspension: stock w/5" drop Early Classic coils Front suspension: stock w/3 1/2" drop Early Classic coils Front wheels: Coddington Hot Rod 8x20 Rear wheels: Coddington Hot Rod 10x20 Front tires: Hankook 245/40R20 Rear tires: Hankook 275/40R20 I can't remember which months issue the article was in, I just spread them across the living room floor and started hunting.

BTW... Rene were you aware of this????
LINK If it doesn't change, it should have a shot of Rene's '68 on the cover of the Brothers 1947-72 Catalog. Congrats on the honor!

Re: Rims or White Walls?
Not a problem... how do you think I felt after I threw all the magazines across the living room floor, picked them back up, and returned to the computer and then realized the information was right there in his signature.
