Re: Just want to drive it again
more.........
Got the pass side rivits out. now the driver side Also put new door hing pins in it to try and straighten up the door. Got the doors on and they close but they still just aren't right. I don't know how the guys with high $$ paint jobs put doors on without scratching the crap out of everything and get them to work right. back together again. I had body parts all over the front yard and my neighboor asked if i was going to get it back together that day. It was a Sat. I said "I will tomorow." HAHAHAHA |

Re: Just want to drive it again
So, there was another prblem with the headers. The fist tube on the pass side hit the motor mount tower.... Just a bit making it not line up. I took a body dolly and hammer and hit them to put a dent in it. They fit now. It is very close though. Check it out.
see... Now the truck just sits in my driveway again. Needs to be taged. Also I put some flows on it. They dump right under the midle of the cab. It is a temp. fix. Oh yeah, I can't spell.. Hope yall were able to follow along. |

Re: Just want to drive it again
You definitely did a good job R&Ring that front clip and pulling that manual tranny crossmember is always a hassle!

Re: Just want to drive it again
I would think I might. I really think I need to bang it in more so it is farther away. I think it is too close. I need someone to sit in it and gas it while I watch...... Gas it in gear and foot on brake.
I don't have the wheel wells in so I can look right at it. Buuuuuuut, I'm not sticking my head in there when someone does it. Truck might go with me in there. Maybe I should take a video of it so i'm not in there. Just my arm. Last edited by LOW DOUGH; 04-29-2009 at 01:20 PM. |
