Always use protection! CPP'S simple upgrade to eliminate shock stud failure,
Guys here is another example of a subtle upgrade that makes a world of difference with protecting your investment. A common problem with these trucks is the factory shock studs pull through especially on a truck that has been lowered, these are a must have!! For board members i will give you guys a set for $25.00 and they are a no brainer.

Re: Always use protection! CPP'S simple upgrade to eliminate shock stud failure,
I've seen these before. Why do the stock mounts holes tend to fail on lowered trucks?

These brackets are very similar to the OE brackets used on some of the 4 wheel drive trucks. I guess GM figured out the stud was not attached very well but only fixed the problem on 4x4’s. Danny Nix CPP |

Re: Always use protection! CPP'S simple upgrade to eliminate shock stud failure,
I need replacements for my 4x4. Do your bolt holes line up with the frames OE rivet holes?

Re: Always use protection! CPP'S simple upgrade to eliminate shock stud failure,
Hey Jeff- I already have 1 mounting stud missing from my frame (as pictured) Do you carry an OEM-type replacement stud? If so, I'd like to get a set of these brackets and a new stud as well. Thanks.

Re: Always use protection! CPP'S simple upgrade to eliminate shock stud failure,
Great Question? We are actually working on adding some really cool stuff to the web and our new catalog for the 73-87 stuff. These should work fine on a 73-87. Thanks.
