Re: Motor Oil in Vaccum line from Carb to Distributor? Need help to stop this

Put a hand-held vacuum pump on the dizzy nipple and see if it holds vacuum. Perhaps it will actually pull some oil through. Won't that tell you if there's a leak in the dizzy? I'm also curious about the tee in that vacuum line...

I didnt see the t in the line at first, good eye, that would be my first guess. If that line is connected to the pcv I could see oil being pulled into the line from the vacum created by the carb, I would also think either your valve is stuck open or the vacum is holding it open cause the pcv should be releasing vapors no pure oil like your finding in your line. I would also venture to say that you are getting poor performance from your carb and vac advance due to the disruption of the vacum by that oil. Run one solid line from your carb to your dizzy and one solid line from your pcv to the correct inlet on your carb, and check you pcv to make sure it operates freely

Yes Iam running a PCV valve on the Driver side Valve cover and a breather on passenger side valve cover.. Yes you are correct there is a "T" in the line it is ls hooked up to my transmission modulator Th400.

With the T to trans mod your distributor is not getting the proper vac signal and is not advancing correctly. As stated above the dist needs it's own line.
