Re: New geezer here

Still chipping away and getting close to road test. Mainly, need to put the wiring harness in and the doors back on, then work on seating arrangement. Well maybe I am not as close as I thought. I'll post pics later.
I am in need of a pair of old (patina) headlight trim rings. Not completely rusted but well worn. I plan to leave the exterior as it is. New trim rings are too shiny. Also, where is a good place to order new glass rubber for windshield and rear and corner windows (it's a 5 window). Not worried about the doors just yet.
Thanks guys.

Looking good!
Try Jim Carter or Brothers for the parts.

Re: New geezer here

Well I know that, but I need some old bezels that are weathered and those places don't sell old patina parts.

Contact all American classics in Vancouver wa. The last time I was down there they had 71 AD trucks in the yard. Good luck

Re: New geezer here

Don't order the window rubbers too early they tend to harden and become difficult to install, also order from someone that has turnover, not the place that had them sitting on the shelf for years. I use LMC for my 56, but only ordered them the month of the install.

Re: New geezer here

hi greg, don't know what kind of headlight bezels you already have or what you are looking for, but I bought new ones for my truck and I was about to toss out my old ones when I saw this post. Here is a pic of them. If you want them, they are yours.

Mike

Re: New geezer here

Hey Mike, thanks for the offer. Those may be a bit more rough than what I am looking for. Right color and age, but a little too rough.
Thanks again, I do appreciate the offer.
