Re: Baby Blue Patina

so Ive made a little progress but I havent had much time to work on it, here are a few pics of what Ive got done

The final product of the wiper and light switch

Its not my best work and its also not quite done yet but this is what I came up with on the cab corners, I just need a little filler and paint on some patina and I think it will be okay

remember this is what I had to work with

Re: Baby Blue Patina

here is the mess that some shop got away with.... I just cant believe that a buisness could pass this kind of work off as good...

look how thick that goop of stuff is.

I got most of this junk cut out so hopefully by next week I will have the cab and firewall blasted and most of the cab sheet metal in.

Yes, so far as I know that is a 67 only piece. The mirror in mine looks identical. And they look pretty awesome stripped and polished.

Nice work on the knobs and the cab corner repair. Looks like you're off and running on the botched rocker job too.

Re: Baby Blue Patina

Finally got a chance to work on the truck a little bit. I've almost got the sheet metal work done. I've blasted the firewall and inside of the cab and found all sorts of fun pin holes and thin metal that needs to be fixed but I'm making progress slowly but surly. I've got the floor almost done and the rocker in and the cab corners finished up. Id say if I get another day to work on it I should have the firewall done and cab braces put in. after friday Im off till the new year so I should really be able to make some real progress.
where this is a shop truck and I'm trying to watch my budget I've ended up making some of the patch panels instead of buying them like the roof.

I actually have the floor patched too but I've been lazy with the pictures

Re: Baby Blue Patina

I feel your pain. Good Job. Im about to replace cab corners because the previous person thought about 6 tacks and lots of filler constituted a replacement. I also have the upper interior roof panel to replace also.
