Re: The Resurrection
Lay some plastic bag or light tarp over the wet stripper and it traps the gasses allowing it to work faster/better.
A carbon face mask helps too.

Re: The Resurrection
In for this- great work! If you don't have your mind made up, Southern Polyurethanes is a great place for the epoxy primer you'll need, and a lot cheaper. Keep it up!

Re: The Resurrection
thanks for all the comments everyone. yeah its going slow considering its 60 degrees here
![]() As far as the gas tank goes i will be glad to post more pics. its not as easy as i was hoping for, but it tucks up nice and its cheap part to come by. i only paid $80 for a 65 mustang gas tank. if you are ok using a grinder on the frame rails and a hammer to the side of the tank a bit it goes in smooth...i will post more pics don't worry. i think the suburban tank is a easier install but i wanted a center position for the filler neck. (it just looks cool) plus i know it drives some of the hard core Chevy guys nuts to see ford parts go in ![]() any way... new pic of the signs my girl got me for the man cave ![]()

Re: The Resurrection
Well progress is slow but we are getting lots done this winter.
- welded all fender holes - sand blasted doors, hood, tailgate, front bed panel, door hinges, old front bumper - Doors-- rust fixed, holes welded, metal body work, east wood internal painted inside, 3M rubberized paintable undercoated inside, and eastwood epoxy primer outside - Hood-- metal body work (to include front gap) eastwood internal painted inside frame and eastwood epoxy primer outside -Tailgate--realized it has to many holes within the "chevrolet" logo and way to many dents. ![]() -Cab--"holy" crap it had way more rust then i realized. had a field day at Tuckers buying patch panels. been cutting rusty metal like a mad man. Next-- sand blast cab, weld in patch panels and then on to custom paint for frame and reassembly...longest rebuild ever! i need another mojito ![]()
