Re: Need some pics of lowered 88-98 silverados

6-7 drop. 6.5" and 8" van/truck ralleys. 205/70/15 front 255/70/15 rear tires. Drop is from lowered spindles, and 2" lowered springs with one coil removed, rear drop is axle flip and lowering shackles.

Previously I had all black 6" steel wheels, and drilled bumpers. The truck looks so much better now I had to show it off

Re: Need some pics of lowered 88-98 silverados

Try this on for size. It is not a weed burner by any means, but with this drop, I am still able to haul what I want and run at speeds on rough roads without bottoming out.

3" drop lower A frames in the front and a 4" drop in the rear.

Thanks man. Wheels are 18x8 and the tires are 255-55-18s. I think a 3/4 drop would be perfect for me.

Here is one that I found at a local car show. There are a lot of subtle changes to it.

Me likey. How did you do the 4" in the rear? And what wheel/tire sizes are you running? Thanks!

It's interesting, but I'm not so sure I'm liking that forward-swept b-pillar treatment.

In the pics, I am running what I use for winter wheels. Those are 15 X 8 rims with 255/60/15 tiers on them. The summer setup is 17" Billet Specialties 5-spoke billets with 275/50/17 in the rear and 255/50/17 in the front. The front is done with DJM tubular lowers and the rear is all Bell Tech 4" drop components. Shackles, and front hangers. The springs were also dearched 1".

The red truck grew on me the more that I looked at it. Even the 'B' pillar being moved forward. It gives it a slight look of "ElCamino".

That forward leaning cab pillar reminds me of the 55 to 57 Chevy trucks. It might look better on a late model sportside.

Re: Need some pics of lowered 88-98 silverados

Well, it ain't purty but it IS lowered and it IS..... errrr "WAS" a Silverado. 4-6 drop, 2" spindles, 2" springs with an axle flip and c-notch in back. Tires are 225-75 X 15 front and 235-75 X 15 rear. Rides like a dream and handles fairly well given the skinny tires. I have Doetsch shocks on all 4 corners.

I have a 91 SWB DD, also an 84 GMC SWB cruiser, and I am working on (ever so slowly) a 68 SWB chopped and smmothed cab show truck.

My son has an 86 SWB that spends the winters in my garage.

Re: Need some pics of lowered 88-98 silverados

The 91 has a 3" drop in the front and 41/2" in the rear. The black 84 has a 3 1/2" drop in the fron and 4" in the rear. The red truck has a 3" drop in the front with a 4" drop in the rear. I am still trying to get the 68 to the level that I am happy with. It has an 87 front 'K' member and I am putting CPP tubular A arms on it with Bellteck 3" drop spindles and 2" drop springs. The rear has a Pete and Jakes Coil over suspension on it.

Re: Need some pics of lowered 88-98 silverados

My 98 with a 4/6 drop stock type wheels ,255/60/15 and 275/60/15s .The front lips needed to be slightly rolled and I trimmed the rear lips also slightly. It bumped on the center crossmember under the box and I trimmed it. Rides and drives superb.
