Vendors
Hello to All....gonna be 65 here in Mid-Kentucky today, Spring is on the way!
How about the name of some good Vendors. Anybody out there had any dealings with LMC Truck out of Lenexa, Kansas? How about Southern Kentucky Classics, Bowling Green, KY (these folks are 35 miles from me!) Any others, need to hear both good and bad! Working with another member to get some pics posted of the 1968 that I have been writing about. Have a Good 'Un!!! |

Looks like a beuatiful original truck and it has sentimental value! Buy it up! If you don't you will always be saying "I wish I would have...."
Good Luck! Diane |

Vendors?
Who do you folks use for parts and supplies (68 Chevy C10)? Any experience with LMC TRUCK out of Lenexa, KS, or Southern Kentucky Classics out of Bowling Green, Ky (just in my back door!). Looking for either good or bad feedback. Thanks, Don

DW,
LMC can have some good parts, but they do sometimes stock inferior quality stuff. Also, they tend to be a little light on tech experience. The two sources that I use are GMCPauls (www.gmcpauls.com) and Classic Industries (for stuff that Paul doesn't carry). Paul is one of the many vendors who hangs out on this board, offers only the highest quality products, and has great knowledge to help work stuff out. CI is simply the biggest catalog on the market! In terms of valuing your truck, you can try the pricing applet at Hemmings Motor News (www.hemmings.com). Have fun, Brian |

we have some good vendors here on the board such as tim christian, ricks pickup parts, and the others. but sounds like you are looking for local. lmc has a lot of parts, but theyre prices tend to be a little bit high. good luck with your truck. it is VERY nice looking!

Another welcome from Florida....
You have found a nice truck and besides that it has some sentimental value. Half the battle is finding some of the history and you already know the original owner and some of the work done to it. No surprises there. Sign up for a free catalog from LMC..it's a great refrence book and the exploded view drawing can come in handy. This web site has a resouce page that list many vendors some of which are active members of this board. LMC's prices are on the upper end of the scale but once in a while I do find things in their catalog that is cheaper than others. I try to look at all vendors and not just favor one. All of them offer something one of the others doesn't. Also if looking for used parts there is a link to the parts bulletin board at the top of the page. Keep us posted on the progress.
