Re: update on intermittent wipers
Fixed it! Ok, NOW I see how you wired it..... Did anyone try twouvakind yet? I think that if someone was to make a delay kit it would be difficult to gauge the market. As I stated above, you would need to know how many delay boards, potentiometers, wiring, cases and connectors to order. Everybody knows that if you can buy in bulk normally the price would go down. Twouvakind was doing small batch runs and I dont know how he was making anything for his time.

I ordered and received a used Cole Hersee 75601 switch and tested it, wired it exaclty like blue_69 did in Post 4 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...963#post215963 It works perfect. The specific switch part numbers have characters at the end such as 75601-08, or 75601-04, 75601-XX , it sounds like those last two digits don't necessarily change anything, it's the first five characters that need to match: 75601. So the DIY intermittent delay wiper mod for 67-72 GM trucks only works if you can source a now-obsolete and not-for-sale-new 75601, try eBay, they're not unobtainium yet. It sounds like they were already obsolete when this thread started, and thats why this thread and other "delay wiper kit" threads died. I'm sure they'd sell if someone could find 10-20 of these switches and followed blue_69's wiring. |
