Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
During that time, I got to know the crew over at Colorado Hot Rod Heaven. They’ll be doing some sheet metal work on the car soon. While hanging out with them, they convinced me to narrow the rear end and drop the truck even more—ended up going 5.5 inches up front and 6.5 inches out back. While the rear was out, I converted it to Ford ends to eliminate the C-clips, and switched to coilovers in the back. I also fabbed up custom front shock mounts so I could run an OEM-length shock up front. We added a proper air filter setup too, to help tackle the dusty mountain roads and old stagecoach trails we drive around here. With the new setup, the truck rides incredibly smooth—and it's been a blast just driving and dialing it in. |
