Quick Change Chrome V/C Studs - 2 Sets

LOWERED PRICE - $15 PLUS SHIPPING

Doing a bit of garage and shop cleaning today and came across these. Used them when I was running a General Kinetics solid lifter camshaft in my '57 during it's 1/4 mile days. Worked great when having to remove the valve covers rather frequently to re-set the lifters with a solid lifter cam after several runs.

(Anyone remember General Kinetics cams? Used to be quite popular at one time)

1/4'' - 20 threads with 3/8'' dia. shank, 4 3/8'' total length and will fit all first generation SBC cylinder heads with side of flange valve cover mounting. Also gives a nice custom look for a clean show engine setting. Two full sets each consisting 8 studs per set w/ one extra stud per set and 8 quick release cap tips w/ 3 extra tips per set. Use some 0000 fine steel wool for a quick clean. $15 per set plus shipping, money order payment, do not have Paypal.

Dang it, can someone smarter than I at computers do a flip the pic for me, LOL?

#1 tip, do not post from phone. Transfer pics to computer. Simply transfer with something like photos. Open with Paint and edit to your liking, if pic looks okay just click "save as" to overwrite the original. I usually crop many photos to make them smaller but it is not always necessary. Always look at the preview to see what post looks like. You can go to edit, delete the the photo and upload the new one if that was not done.

What’s the length of the threaded portion? I’m running these valve covers for my 81, but I keep forgetting to take a measurement of the bolt length I need

Sorry, should have included that information in the post. Thread length of each stud measures 11/16'' in length. I like the looks of those valve covers

Re: Quick Change Chrome V/C Studs - 2 Sets

Ah dang, I just measured and the bolts I have that fit are 1” long. The typical bolt size is too short due to that extra bump where the bolt goes through. Thank you for getting that info though!

Re: Quick Change Chrome V/C Studs - 2 Sets

Most of those hold downs have a removeable stud. You screw the stud into the head and just twist the top part of the hold down to remove them. All that would be needed is longer 1/4-20 studs.

Re: Quick Change Chrome V/C Studs - 2 Sets

Thanks for the info and the bump but I don't believe these have the removable studs. Not sure but think they might be Mr. Gasket brand? Mr. Gasket was quite a popular aftermarket brand when I ran my '57 thru the 1/4 mile.

Still available, $15 per set plus shipping.
