Re: PTFE/AN Fuel Hose? Hardline Tubing Frame to Block Fuel Pump Jumper?

You have the wrong size AN tube adaptor if the ferrel is loose enough to go over the flare on the end of the factory line. It should slide on with only a few thousandths to spare between the ferrel and the unflared line. You should have to cut the flare from the end of the line before you even think about putting the fitting together. I’ll put it this way, When installing the ferrel on the line you would have trouble forcing the ferrel over any paint or dirt on the line, it should just barely slide on a clean freshly prepared line.

While I'm waiting for my part I might as well ask.
What's that little hole's purpose on the face of the blue cap?

If memory serves me there should be a pin pressed into it that keeps the rotating portion of the fitting attached to the stationary portion.

Yeah, while I'm sitting around waiting on my 5/16ths Steel Fuel line to -6AN PTFE Connector ("My Jumper build", steel fuel line affixed to the truck frame to fuel pump on engine block).

The fuel inlet fitting size on my 1400 series Edelbrock carburetor is 3/8ths. I designed Everything Back from that point not realizing the original steel fuel line was 5/16ths at my end point.

So I learn and wait.
I've learned a lot, I'll recap in a week or two...Thanks Guys!

You just need anadapter fitting from hard line to PTFE, like this:

The Edelbrock fuel pump is Knocking like Crazy.
The 6 month old Duralast fuel pump I replaced did not do this.

I ordered a longer fuel pump push rod today. Hopefully that does the trick!
