Vortec Upper Rad Hose?

I've put a Vortec from a 97-99 C1500 in my 66 with an aftermarket radiator.
I kept the serpentine drive, which (WHY??) has the AC on the left and alt on the right.
I need an upper radiator hose that will clear the AC and belt. The original had a water neck pointing to the drivers side, and a long, long hose behind the AC. I put on an adjustable neck, but the OE hose won't do.
Anyone solve this problem?

Re: Vortec Upper Rad Hose?

This should probably be in the LSx Swaps section.

I bend a wire to the shape I need and go to the parts store and ask if I can go in the back and check out the rad hoses to see if one matches up. Take a tape measure or ruler to check the ID.

Another option is to have a muffler shop bend a steel tube to match the shape you need and use short sections of hose at each end, like the factory did on 283 and 327 trucks.

Re: Vortec Upper Rad Hose?

Thanks.

When you go to buy parts, it's a Gen 1.78192.
