proportioning valve

i have a pro vavle off a 76 1/2 ton, these trucks had two seperate front brake lines coming out of the valve, my set up on the 68 has a t to seperate the front lines, could i use the 76 proportioning valve if i block off one of the brake line fitting? or should i trade some one for a 71-72 valve(hint, hint)
