Rear left shock popped off nut.
The top end of my left rear shock on my ck20 (43) popped off of the upper mounting position.
The bolt that it's ring is to fit on and the rubber ring it is to sit around are still there. Just seems to have popped off somehow. The manual says to raise the truck on a hoist and support the rear axle. I don't have a hoist. I have a three ton jak. How do I shorten the shock absorber to get it back on? Would jacking the truck up let the rear axel drop enough so I don't have to shorten the shock? My upper mounting location is the one that sits up against the top ledge of the frame rather than the type that sits on top of the top ledge of the frame.
