MellowYellow70's truck resurrections
So, I've owned this truck since 1997. I wrecked it being stupid in 2000 and found that when you buy from a "Quality" autobody shop it's not always the great product you thought it was. I had replaced all the floor/cab corners/rockers/firewall and the just let it sit in the shed for the next 21yrs waiting. Fast forward to May of 2021 and I yanked it outta the shed, tore it down to a cab and frame and started the Gasser project "Spare Parts".
Yes I'm building it as a Gasser tribute Front suspension is QA1 double adjustable, stock springs with 1" lift pucks, stock spindles, Wilwood calipers ad manual master cylinder Rear suspension is Moser trailing arms, QA1 rear double adjustable coilover setup, speedway motors rear disc conversion on a 14 bolt setup like a 454ss truck (measures 1/4" wider than my old stock 71 12 bolt). 5.3/4l80e/billet 7875 engine combo, Vintage air kit is installed also Roll cage is phenomenally done and I'm so pleased with my builder's quality. Now to keep plugging away and see street miles by May
