Dash speaker replacement question
I have two KICK ASS Infinity 462.5-CFP Kappa series 4"x6" plates just sitting in my basement. They were used for less than 6 months and really rock ass. I paid $160 for them new and had them in my '03 GMC truck. They have a huge magnet and will handle 180w peak power, sound AWESOME.
I am contemplating whether to sell them or not. I am wondering: has anyone ever stuck a pair of 4"x6" plates in the center of their dash easily, or is everyone just sticking one up there? I would really like to get rid of the crappy Pioneer speakers that the PO mounted to the metal kickpanel part of the cab and put these in the dash for better sound instead. Here's a picture of the speakers (gah, I love these things!!)
