how to hook up fan for defrost???? ASAP please - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

ok my truck is a 72 and doesnt have a/c but my control is for an a/c truck and dont know what year its from my hot wire for my fan comes threw the fire wall then into a plug then to a nother plug but it dont match the clips on the back of my control unit here are some pictures i could hook a togle switch but i would rather it work off the original switch thanks in advance for any help

the plug my hot fan wire goes to its on top of the box under the dash

the end of the plug that dont match my switch (brown,orange,red,blue/orange color of wires)

i guess what im trying to figure out is if i cut that end of what wires go to what letters on the back of the switch so i can control the fan on and off with it
