Got the borgeson steering shaft installed. Cake!

I ordered the Borgeson steering shaft from Summit on Tuesday at about 3PM, it was on my doorstep on Wednesday at noon. I put in on last night. After the 91 conversion, oil cooler fiasco and with the header install looming on the horizon, I was very excited about an install that took about 30 minutes start to finish. It was a treat.

Before when the truck was running but not moving, I had about 1/8 turn in play in the steering wheel 'slop' before it would begin to turn with the stock shaft. With the Borgeson shaft, it only has about 1/16 turn in play and feels all around tighter.

I am not completely happy though, however I think I realized that I have unreasonable expectations. I kept thinking that I can get the nice tight steering response I am looking for if I change everything out. Steering stabilizers, drag link, borgeson shaft, etc.

I finally realized that I drive an almost 20 year old truck with a 6" suspension lift and 37" tires. It feels as good as it's gonna feel. I am comparing it to my Durango which is stock with rack and pinion and of COURSE it won't feel like that.

The burb feels really good, it drives good, I just need to accept it for what it is and enjoy it.
