Well it's back......
Well it started again. I get my engine to around 5000rpm then it starts backfiring threw the exhaust. Talked to a local engine builder and told him Ive looked at fuel press, timming, plugs, wires you name it. He suggested ignition module so I pulled it out of the dist & took it to oriellys auto parts. Sure enough it was bad. Got a new one. Went home & put it all back together, she fired right up. It ran smoother, so I went down this little black top no one hardly goes down . I came to a full stop and nailed it ,all hell broke loose all the popping "gone " shifted out of 1st @ 5500RPM then in 2nd around 5000RPM it went right back to doing it . Called the guy back and he said either pickup coil or valve float. How is it that I can have valve float, when I bought the K-Kit arent the springs supposed to be matched to the cam. Acording to him it aint nothing to see a new set of springs loose 10lbs of seat pressure after breaking in a engine. Is this true.........or a line of crap Far as the pickup coil I dont really know enough about them to argue. Im really loosing my cool here.
