Bags without a compressor???

Anyone running bags w/ just valves to drop when you want to? What do you do about filling the bags (ie. how big of tank do you have to keep with you to do that and what setup do you have?) I have a compressor i could use at home to refill, but am concerned about when i travel to cruise-ins. I can't justify the expense of a compressor right now and am contemplating rear bags with 4.5 drop in front (2.5 spindles w/ 2" springs) Any advice or ideas?

Anyone using the ECE kit? Any cheaper kit that you recommend? DO i have to C-notch if i'm not looking to dump it...just 6" or 7 possibly to have the wheel arch right at the tire. I will ride with the bags inflated a few inches. Recommended pressure? Thanks!
