Question Getting ready for a52

I'm going to look at a 1952 with no bed.
How do I find out if it a short or long? What are the measurements? He sez it is a 6 lug does that indicant a 3/4 ton? I need this to be armed rather than rely on well you guys know.........also I6 is a 235 how do I confirm that
As you see I know nothing about this year. Got a 68 I know that one inside out
Any help will be appreciated
