Joe T Registered User Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Pa Posts: 50	put in HEI Distributor, now engine makes popping sound - HELP! so i put in a new HEI distributor and wires, used the old spark plugs (regapped at .045) and now my engine pops when i hit the gas. anybody know what it could be? checked the timing, it is fine, no clue what it could be. the wires are hooked up correctly to the cap as well.
