Just run a strip of peel and seal on the inside of the door (the inside of the outside skin if that makes sense) behind the speaker. In my Toyota, I just made a thin wooden ring and sandwiched it between the speaker and the metal door. Worked awesome, but I would use something like a 6.5" coax in the bottom of the door.

You could also make a wood panel about 1/4" thick that matches the bottom kick plate on the door. Wrap it in carpet and mount the speaker with grill to it. Quick, easy, looks awesome.
