How did you prep the intake for paint? Did you remove lots off of it before spraying it or just taped off bits?

I used Purple Power, nylon scrub brush and water. I just scuffed it lightly with scotch pad, nothing major and used Krylon Fusion paint which is supposed to bond with plastics. I don't know how it will hold up over the long haul but so far it looks great and I am happy.
