OK, looking better now. We'll see how the monster looks after a wet sanding with 400 grit. I'll be down to tiny spots to fill with glazing putty I'm pretty sure. Then prime again and block/wet sand with 600 grit.
Everything I read talks about how 400 grit scratches don't show in the final paint, but I beg to differ. I tried it on both the black truck and the green Denali and I could see the scratches in the right light. I also do not trust that if I wet sand/block with 400 grit and then go back over with the 600 grit that I will find and eliminate all the 400 scratches. When you are doing it you just cannot tell where you have been or not since it is already a sanded texture. That is why I will respray the primer and then go over it again, this time with the 600 grit. I use and 11 inch block with 8 by 11 sheets of wet or dry sandpaper cut in half wrapped on the block. If you hand sand this step you can end up with tiny ripples in the surface instead of mirror flat.
