Carb issues, to Holley or not.

We got into my truck yesterday and made some good progress. I discovered that I have a Rochester 2 Jet carb which is clearly not original due to the couple of vacuum hoses that I found plugged with twigs. Yes, tree branches, not even a proper dowel.

In any case, the Rochester is unhealthy and the choke linkage is locked up anyhow, and the choke cable broke, oops.

Anyhow, I went over to Jollys6066 page and read about the Holley conversion. It's a bit expensive but I'm considering it. It seems I might need a couple of other things like an air cleaner and a fuel line adapter which will add to the price.

What I want to know is if anyone has found any cross over parts that would be cheaper (air cleaner or a mod) or wants to recommend a reliable carb rebuilder where I can get a rebuilt Holley cheaper.

Or if anyone has a Holley for sale? PM me.
