Cluster Upgrades

Thought I'd share for a change, after asking so many questions!

I had to take the instrument cluster out to change out
the speedometer, so thought it would be a good time
to add a tachometer, and a voltmeter.

The tach was a "reproduction", bolt in affair from Classic Parts,
with instructions and wiring harness.

The voltmeter was a
Auto Meter 2319 Auto Gage 2-5/8" 10-16 Volt.
While it's not a perfect fit, I think I'll be happy with it.

Photos 1&2 show the front and back of the voltmeter,
which has a 2-5/8" face. I believe the can is 2-1/4" diameter.

Photo 3 shows my "hacksaw" modification to the original
backing plate where I installed the Voltmeter.

Photo 4 shows the plate being test fitted

Photo 5 shows the empty hole, and the piece of foam
I glued to the housing, to keep the gauge from
rocking or rattling.
