Help with 3/4 ton rear hub/drum instalation?
I had to completely rebuild my '69 C20's rear brakes. I am installing the hub/drum assembly and the manual says to torque the inner wheel bearing nut to 50-60 ft. Lbs and the outer to 170. The problem is that when I torque down the inner nut the hub/drum assembly no longer spins freely on the spindle. Is this correct? Should I loosen the inner nut to allow for free spinning movement or do I just follow the manual?
I am hoping to get wheels back on today, so any help is appreciated greatly! Paul Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device
