Rebuilding Holley 750 list 9773

I have a Holley 750 List 9773. It is about 20 years old It still runs great, but is starting to leak. I have never rebuilt one myself, but I think I am going to give it a try. I have replaced power valves, jets, set floats etc

My questions are:

Should I soak the parts except the base plate in ? If so what is the best to use?

I am going to use a Holley Trick kit # 37-485 and will replace the floats as well. Anything else I should consider?

Thanks in advance,
Ray
