of the ones pictured, I'd go with the cast aluminum ones - not the chrome. Cast is much less likely to leak when over-tightened, which seems to almost always happen with steel covers. Personally, my absolute favorite valve cover is the old vette cast aluminum finned covers - the ones that say Corvette on them, not the 70's versions. Beware the very early year ones have staggered mounting holes, ask me how I know! ha!
Regardless, your eng compartment looks very well done - really like it. Also, btw, I prefer the solid air cleaner lid in the lower set of pics, but I'm sure the open top flows much better.
