67 Burb door panel removal

I simply want to lubricate the lock mechanisms and latch release etc. inside the doors on my 67 suburban. I have removed the 4 screws along the bottom of the panel as well as the arm rest and the handles. I expected the panel to just slip out from under the chrome strip at the top of the panel, but it won't. Before I damage something, I would like to know the correct way to get the panel off.
