Advice for Prep Work for Painting Grill - I'm Scared
quick question... I am about to embark on painting my grille and head light bezels. While I'm a pro at prepping and painting metal parts, im a novice at restoring plastic parts. With that, can anyone give me any tips on prepping the plastic. Note from the picture, the bezels have some bubbling.
I'm thinking... - clean with soap and water. - light sand with like 800 grit. - clean and repeat. - bust out the silver wheel point and hit it with 4 coats. Is sanding safe? And what grit? Do I need to prime? Is there a good way to shoot it? Front, back, side? Thanks. |
