For myself the motivation behind not using factory parts is just that I wouldn't have to try to find them and cut them off another frame. I can just click the order now button and be done. So it's a few extra bucks for the sake of convenience. I have thought of using all factory parts for a more factory look but several things keep me from wanting to do that. First off, the area where the shackle hanger is is different between the 2wd and 4wd so I'll have to trim that area. And I want to do crossover steering which doesn't fit well with a factory crossmemeber.
