Contact Paper for Interior Woodgrain?

Has anyone used Contact Shelf Liner to replace the woodgrain on the instrument cluster, glovebox and door panels??? If so, can you please advise on the results??

I picked some up for like $5 at my local hardware store, it's a pretty dead-on match for the woodgrain... But it appears a little thin and I don't know how it will hold up in tHe heat / cold or over time....

Hoping for some info before I start to peel and stick. I attached a pic of it on the glovebox but I havent stuck it on there yet
