HEI dist question

1970 C10 350, auto 3970010 engine casting

Tonight I'm putting in new edelbrock manifold, carb, and HEI dist.
question is:
the HEI dist is bigger in diameter then the stock points dist. The of the firewall curves into the engine bay. Will the HEI go in ok without pulling the engine?
seems tight?
I'm sure i'll find out but any info from those who have done it appreciated.
thanks, Mark
