Plum Crazy C10 from a land far away

Hi Guys

Im doing a frame off on my 67 SWB stepside C10 here in the UAE and wanted to share my journey so far but first, here are my other ladies

68 Chevelle LQ4/4L80E in BMW/Audi Java Green

69 Chevelle, 350/700R4 in BMW Atlantis Blue

72 Vette, Edelbrock 350 Pro-flow EFI crate/TH400

83 BMW 633CSi

92 Mercedes SL300-24

98 BMW 750iL V12

So here is the latest addition to the family, 67 SWB stepside C10
Here is the Ebay Ad (later to find out, its the understatement of the century)

Ebay Auction Pics

45 days later, it arrived to my part of the world only to find out the engine is jammed, cracked windshield and the passenger side hood hinge is so bent the hood closes sideways.

Managed to free the engine and get it running, installed a CS144 140Amp alternator, my spare holley double pumper carb, electric fans and a radiator. Parked it at home till the 69 Chevelle finished its turn at restoration....and thats where the real fun starts

Front clip comes out

Remove the cracked windshield to find this nasty surprise

Both rockers were goners, lucky i ordered inners and outers when i shipped the car

Now the fun part where you wonder what the PO was smoking on...

Instead of the 350, its a 305

The engine stands were from a I6 in V8 position without the bottom bolts so the whole engine weight was resting on the top bolts

Thats the manual tranny crossmember, instead of removing it, PO just quickly cut through it

Engine/tranny out

Removed the cabin to find this surprise, PO welded the tranny crossmember instead of bolting it.....crooked!

Escorting the tow truck back from the sandblaster

Who needs a fancy AC system when you can have fresh air!

Everything from the cabin onwards was primed to prevent further rust while new sheet metal was ordered

Notice the pattern here? PO welded everything rather than bolt it...and its not even good welds!

Here is how the frame sits waiting for its turn to be sandblasted

Iv chosen plum crazy purple as the color and anything chrome will either be painted matte black or matte gray...still havent decided
