Newbie from CA with 1986 C10

Purchased this C10 a few months ago as a father/son project for my 15 year old son. It's been going well so far, but have a ways to go before it becomes reliable enough to make it a daily driver. I have till July of next year, so we have plenty of time. This is how it looked when we purchased it. It has an approximate 3/4 drop with coil springs and shackles. It did not ride very smooth.
