Grease fitting problem

I've been in the process of installing new suspension parts and now working on screwing in the grease fittings on the bushings/ball joints. I have 2 that I can't get going.

One of them is going in at an angle and won't bite, the other doesn't appear to be grabbing any threads, so it isn't biting either.

Any suggestions to get this squared away?
Thanks.
